Raising awareness of rest in the context of New Work.
Increasing numbers of cases of health and mental overload caused by overwork are omnipresent today. DOZE is a piece of seating furniture that contributes to conscious and physical relaxation in the context of the work break. The influence of company catering on corporate culture has been underestimated until now. DOZE is a concept tailored to company canteens that exploits the potential of this place and addresses the original function of the work break. A variety of ergonomic studies led to a new typology of seating furniture with a more reduced structure. The designed chair establishes its relationship more with the regular seating in canteens and thus also uses less material. Working in offices will increase for many employees. As balanced working becomes more relevant in New Work concepts, the need arises to deal with the regenerative break in a more targeted and intensive way. Integrating a piece of furniture in the canteen, creating a concrete offer of additional regeneration within the work break, follows the enormous need for temporary time-outs and gives the rest break the moment and occasion it deserves.
