The banner was created in two steps, from two different groups. The first group stitched the upper, colored part. Our concept ties in with the concept of them. We take up the zero waste aspect for our design that tries to use as little waste as possible. This becomes a guide for the whole design. We focused on the fixed values the first group chose to organize the fabric they found in the textile workshop of the Bauhaus-University.
6,6% duvet, 22,2% lace curtain, 22,3% transparent curtain, 13,3% towel, 35,6% shiny curtain
The "Kleiderkammer Weimar", where we found all of the used fabric, served as a symbolic placeholder for all the second-hand clothes that are collected in Weimar everyday. We only used white fabrics, since the main focus was on the fabric surface and its specific feel.
